As a Industrial Control Panel Builder you will contribute to the success of our organization by completing customized automation projects for our customers on time and with a high degree of quality. On a daily basis, as an Automation Technician, you will... Attend kickoff meetings with Engineering team and customers to understand project requirements. Build and wire customized industrial control panels by reading and interpreting electrical schematics. Layout, drill, punch, tap, and mounting of components in sheet metal enclosures. Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards. Complete projects within allocated project hours and by due date. Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards. Escalate any concerns or issues related to project timeline, quality issues, etc. to Account Lead. Conduct field service work at customer locations (travel up to 15% of the time). Improve quality of work and personal productivity on a continuous basis. Follow and comply with all safety protocols, work regulations and 6S guidelines. Maintain clean work area; promptly remove debris. Maintain reliable and predictable attendance. Automation Technician Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate computer literacy, to include use of Microsoft Outlook. At least 1 year of experience in reading schematics and wiring industrial control panels. Must hold valid driver’s license with ability to travel between work locations and to customer sites. Requirements Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Work environment is light industrial, with exposure to a moderate level of noise. Daily operations in work environment includes the use of basic power tools, hand tools, and repetitive hand motion in manipulating electrical wires. Sitting, standing, and bending at waist for up to 3 consecutive hours at time. May need to reach above shoulder height for extended periods of time. May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Must be able to climb stairs. Must be able to move freely between aisles of parts, equipment, shelving units. Must be able to carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
