Description VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Lonestar Integrated Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Control Panel Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and control systems design, with hands-on experience in control panel design and creation. This role involves creating and reviewing AutoCAD/EPLAN prints, specifying components, creating bills of material, and ensuring the quality of builds. Responsibilities: Design control panels, including motor starters, VFDs, and auxiliary controls. Develop and review schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD and EPLAN software. Specify components and create comprehensive bills of material for projects. Perform quality checks on builds to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards. Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure successful project completion. Other duties as assigned by leadership. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in control systems design and control panel design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or EPLAN for creating schematics and layout drawings. Strong knowledge of electrical components and their specifications. Experience in specifying components and creating bills of material. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of UL508A standards and requirements preferred. Experience with PLC programming and system design would be valuable. Prior experience working in a panel shop environment is ideal. Familiarity with products and components from major manufacturers such as ABB, Rockwell, Danfoss, and SEL. Physical Requirements: Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
