A DAY IN THE LIFE: As the Industrial Defense Security Manager, you lead the company’s industrial security program, ensuring classified operations run smoothly, securely, and in full compliance with federal requirements. Your day includes coordinating with program leaders, supporting cleared personnel, overseeing SCIF and COMSEC operations, and preparing for inspections or audits. You balance regulatory compliance with operational needs, guide the security team, and work across departments to protect classified information, facilities, and personnel in a fast-paced defense environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Lead the Industrial Security Program: Direct and manage the company’s overall industrial security program in compliance with NISPOM, DCSA, DoD, and customer security requirements. Maintain Facility Clearance (FCL) Compliance: Ensure the company’s FCL remains in good standing; prepare for and lead DCSA Security Reviews and government inspections. Oversee Personnel Security Operations: Manage clearance processing, access determinations, visit certifications, foreign travel reporting, incident reporting, and DISS/NISS administration. Administer Security Education & Training: Implement required security training programs, including annual refresher training, Insider Threat awareness, and derivative classification training. Manage Classified Material Control: Oversee document control, classified material handling, accountability procedures, and secure transmission of classified information. Serve as COMSEC Custodian: Maintain accountability of COMSEC materials in accordance with NSA and company requirements, including inventories, hand receipts, shipments, and reporting. Lead SCIF & SCI Security (CPSO Functions): Oversee SCIF operations, access control, inspections, IT/CWAN coordination, and support SCIF accreditation and build activities. Direct Insider Threat Program: Serve as Insider Threat Program Senior Official, lead the Insider Threat Working Group, maintain program documentation, and ensure reporting and mitigation processes are followed. Conduct Self-Inspections & Corrective Actions: Perform internal security reviews, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective measures to maintain continuous compliance. Develop Security Policies & Procedures: Create, update, and enforce company security policies, procedures, and documentation supporting classified programs. Lead and Develop Security Staff: Supervise Security Specialists, provide mentoring and performance management, and plan staffing to support program growth. Collaborate Across the Organization: Partner with Program Management, IT, Facilities, Engineering, and Contracts to integrate security into daily operations and program execution. YOU’RE AWESOME AT: Industrial Security & NISPOM Compliance: Managing cleared facilities, personnel security, inspections, and regulatory compliance within DoD environments. Personnel & Program Security Operations: Navigating DISS, NISS, clearance processing, visit controls, and secure program administration. SCI, SCIF & COMSEC Oversight: Supporting SCI programs, SCIF operations, and COMSEC accountability with strong attention to detail and procedural integrity. Security Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership: Leading security teams while working effectively with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 10 or more years of industrial security experience supporting classified DoD programs. Experience managing or supervising security personnel. Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, DISS, NISS, COMSEC accountability, and SCI program security. Experience supporting SCIF operations and SCI programs (CPSO experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply DoD security regulations. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. Active Top-Secret clearance required; SCI eligibility strongly preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, Innoflight offers a well-rounded compensation package that includes a Profit-Sharing Bonus and a Cash Performance Bonus to reward both individual and company performance.
