We value team players, people who are more concerned with what's right, rather than who's right.  As an Industrial Designer, Bespoke this person will be responsible for both creating and developing original work, along with taking concepts from the Design Leader and President of Bespoke and developing those.   They will work closely with the engineering team, manufacturing to take concepts to production, for all new products.  They are responsible for finding the balance between aesthetics, function, product cost and usability of the product to delight the customer and meet all business and strategic goals.  They will provide rapid prototyping/rendering support along with creating detailed design packages for engineering, fully flushing out ideas drafted by Joe and ideas that they have originated.    Responsibilities: Create original pieces for Bespoke Consult with clients, business president, Design Leader, RH product teams, etc to determine requirements for designs Research the various ways a particular product might be used and innovate in both function and aesthetics based on those learnings Sketch ideas, create renderings to help refine and rapidly iterate through design ideas Create final models for engineering Optimize options and materials to increase the craft/quality of our designs while optimizing cost, environmental impact and weight Create physical prototypes through 3D printing, model shops and manufacturing Work with Engineering to evaluate product safety, appearance, function and cost.   Requirements: 5+ years in furniture experience, preferably in high end residential or contract furnishings Portfolio of original work, demonstrated success in developing high end residential furniture, preferred.
