Join the Agilent Usability & Design Center (UDC) in our Waldbronn site near Karlsruhe, Germany, on the northern edge of the Black Forest. From products for genomic sequencing and cancer diagnostics to testing food and drinks about contaminants and pesticides - Agilent inspires and supports discoveries that advance the quality of life. As a member of the UDC you will have the opportunity to help develop solutions for life science applications for a variety of product lines across Agilent.
This is a fixed term position; the contract ends after 18-24 months .

Responsibilities
  • You will work as part of a team of 17+ experienced UX Designers located in Waldbronn and the US and be involved in all phases of the Design Process, engaging in all the typical tasks of an Industrial Designer with a strong focus on user experience and usability
  • You will work closely with engineers, scientists, marketing specialists and other experts from our different sites around the globe (including US, Europe, Asia, and Australia), handling stakeholder discussions and representing the “voice of the user”
  • You will have the opportunity to exercise your skills of observation, interviewing, sketching, cardboard modeling, CAD Modeling, rendering and usability testing
  • UX focus will include user research, user workflow analysis, development of user requirements, iterative solution development and solution evaluation
  • You will also contribute to the development and improvement of the Agilent design guidelines and standards
  • Working partly in software UX design is an option
