JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor, the Industrial Electrician is responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Reading and interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.
  • Installing conduit and wiring.
  • Installing, replacing, and repairing lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Installing and connecting fixtures and components to form circuits.
  • Testing completion of circuits using test equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic systems and removing and replacing faulty parts. Repairing damaged, broken, or unsafe equipment.
  • Connecting electrical power to sound and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems.
  • Carrying out Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
  • Utilizing and recording work in CMMS (SAP) daily.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate of qualification required (either 309A-preferable or 442A license)
  • Ability to work various shifts including continental.
  • Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC (ControlLogix) & Drive (ProwerFlex) Programming & Software
  • Overhead Crane and Forklift Certified
  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hours.
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours.
  • Ability to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment.
  • Other physical requirements as needed for job.
