Description:
Industrial Electrician to join their team based in County Westmeath. You will Provide electrical and automation expertise to the Production and Engineering Departments and will be reporting to the Engineering supervisor.
This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00-4:30 fully on-site
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline
- Hands on experience with Automation and Control systems
- Exposure troubleshooting electrical and mechanical material handling systems
- Proactive approach to any current and upcoming projects.
- Willingness to mentor junior level of staff

Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, commission, and support automation and control systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and validate systems in compliance with regulations.
- Specify and select control hardware (PLCs, HMIs, robotics, etc.).
- Provide technical expertise in process and equipment control, including PLC programming.
- Collaborate with external vendors to stay updated on technological advancements.
- Ensure safety practices comply with relevant legislation (e.g., CE compliance of equipment).
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and material handling systems.
- Support equipment analysis, process improvement projects, and team issue resolution.
- Mentor and train Apprentice Electrician through their program.
