Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for examining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing a wide variety of electrical and automation components. You’ll provide technical support to the production team during runtime to ensure all equipment operates at peak performance. Using our internal asset management system, you’ll perform preventative, corrective, and facility maintenance, along with other duties as required to meet operational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints for installations, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain motors, motor control logic, photo eyes, automation field devices, and pneumatic control systems
  • Maintain facility electrical systems (120–600V)
  • Inspect equipment to identify irregularities or malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components
  • Use multi-meters, insulation testers, and thermal imagers to troubleshoot and identify electrical issues
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability
  • Complete work orders as per PM (Preventative Maintenance) and CM (Corrective Maintenance) schedules
  • Follow all applicable legislative, food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
