Description Job Purpose: Industrial electricians are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components and systems in factories, plants, and other industrial facilities. What You’ll Do: Installing and wiring electrical systems, control panels, and industrial machinery. Troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing devices. Performing preventive maintenance and inspections on transformers, circuit breakers, motors, and other equipment. Reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to guide installations and repairs. Ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code, state, and local regulations. Conducting quality testing and documenting maintenance activities. Collaborating with teams or working independently to complete projects. Requirements High school diploma or GED, associate degree or vocational training. Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent journeyman experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial equipment, and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. Awareness of safety procedures and electrical codes. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Physical stamina to stand, climb, or crawl for extended periods and handle tools safely.
