ProMatch Consultancy has a fantastic permanent role available for a skilled Electrician to join our Client’s industrial team in Dingwall.
In this full-time position, you’ll become a vital part of operations, contributing to a high-standard environment within a state of the art food processing facility while also exploring the breath taking Scottish Highlands! This role involves occasional travel to stunning, remote salmon farm site locations, with all travel arrangements and accommodation fully provided.

Your Role:
You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of critical electrical systems, ensuring seamless production, refrigeration, automation and infrastructure operations across the business. Working hands-on with a collaborative team, you’ll tackle challenges and play a role in driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preventative and routine maintenance of electrical systems, with precise record keeping
  • Installing and upgrading electrical components, including motors, drives, control panels, pumps, lighting systems and PLCs
  • Quickly diagnosing and repairing faults to minimize downtime
  • Collaborating with the engineering team on capital projects and system improvements
  • Maintaining strict compliance with food safety, environmental and health & safety regulations

About You:

We’re seeking an Electrician who is

  • Qualified & Certified: NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent + 18th Edition
  • Experienced: Skilled in industrial or commercial electrical work and knowledgeable about safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and HACCP
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technical diagrams and schematics, with knowledge of control systems, variable speed drives and PLCs being ideal
  • Flexible & Reliable: Ready to handle after hours breakdowns on a rotating on-call schedule
  • Mobile: Hold a full UK driving licence (or local equivalent)
  • Versatile: Bonus points for mechanical knowledge or a multi skilled background but this is not essential to be considered!

Our client is open to considering visa sponsorship for candidates who are already based in the UK, have hands on experience from within a similar role and hold a UK recognised qualification.
