Description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in industrial electrical maintenance (442A).
  • Valid Electrician License (442A) issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and motor controls.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in construction and maintenance electrician (309A).
  • Valid Electrician License (309A) issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial facilities, including machinery, control systems, and power distribution systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring continuous operation of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and testing instruments to identify faulty components and implement corrective actions.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working with electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate electrical installations and repairs, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge in industrial electrical systems.
