POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are looking for experienced Industrial Electrician/s to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions & blackouts, and repairing various appliances. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems. The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize the usability of electricity in all facilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm & other systems. Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.). Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components. Prepare & assemble conduits, and connect wiring through them. Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards and/or malfunctions, and repair and/or substitute damaged units. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS: Proven experience as an electrician. Experience in Industrial and/or Commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to use & understand electrical drawings and/or blueprints. Demonstrated ability to use electrical and/or hand tools (e.g. wire-strippers, voltmeter, etc.). Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight shifts. EDUCATION: High school Diploma (or equivalent) is PREFERRED but NOT required. Diploma in relevant vocational training -OR- Successful completion of an "Electrician Apprenticeship". EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM of 1 year of experience working with 480 Voltage. At least 1-Year of Industrial Electrical experience is PREFERRED but NOT required. LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: Drivers License is PREFERRED but NOT required. PAY: Starts at: $21/hr. --- $27/hr. (Depending on experience level) SCHEDULE: Full-Time --- All shifts are 12-hr's Day Shift = 7:30am - 7:30pm Night Shift = 7:30pm - 7:30am ***EXPECT to work 60+ hours a week*** All hours worked over 40 hours will be paid at Time-and-a-half REQUIREMENTS: Must have Steel-toed boots/shoes. Must have RELIABLE transportation to Milton FL. Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
