Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Industrial Engineer to review, evaluate, and optimise operational systems across people, processes, materials, and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong process engineering expertise to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity in manufacturing or commercial environments. This role is suited to individuals who thrive in data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and systems-level thinking.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic).
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, process mapping, resource planning, and data interpretation.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 processes is highly desirable.
  • In some cases, registration or licensing may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate the utilisation of personnel, materials, equipment, and workflows across operations to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies focused on labour productivity, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Analyse operational data, production schedules, costs, facility layout, and capacity to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, work sampling, and ergonomics analysis to establish performance benchmarks.
  • Design and optimise production systems, materials handling, and layout plans that support scalable and sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality control policies.
  • Prepare technical documentation including specifications, performance reports, process maps, and compliance audits.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of plant, equipment, and industrial processes to ensure optimal operation and maintenance practices.
  • Support the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies across projects.
  • Liaise with senior engineers, project managers, and vendors on design upgrades, equipment acquisition, and resource planning.
