INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER FOR LIVONIA, MI:
Prepare time calculations via MOST methodology and validating the same on shop floor. Support production teams with drawing requests. Create new Standard Operating Sheets (SOS) and Standard Operating procedures (SOP) as per the new design requirement. Design and develop new layout and workplace organization using Auto Cad. Discuss with various vehicle integration group for the interference & safety & serviceability. Work closely with various vehicle integration groups like Mechanical, Hydraulics etc. to understand the updates. Work closely with Industrial engineering group to verify MOST standard Assembly time calculations against virtual product. Develop and Optimize workstations by enhancing the process as per PFMEA and control plan recommendations and applicable countermeasures. Performing Line Balance for the respective Assembly Lines based on the TAKT times. Taking care of work distribution and work loading optimization to reduce unbalanced time. Providing assistance to the offshore team in creating Assembly Work Orders, validate Routing Accuracy, establishing Standard time, Manpower Projection and Line Balancing, creating Standard Work Element Sheets, and Product BOM Management. Prepare and present weekly project status to customer. Provide the updates regularly to the offshore team to make the parts models and drawings. Track each & every task to ensure delivery to our customer. Validate the deliverables received from the offshore. Analyze the digital mockup of the new product assemblies via Virtual manufacturing application tool set. Record all the inputs, provide the priorities and update the execution plan. Develop design change report & submit to client on monthly basis. Quality matrix tracked & identify the training requirements. Develop and maintain technical documentation and Project reports. Provide build support and ECO (Engineering change management) support for various new programs
Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with 36 months of experience required, foreign equivalent accepted, 40hrs a week. Employee might have to travel on short term (maximum 07-10 days at a time) to attend meetings for project requirements with client companies in other states in the USA, only when required.
