JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer for a direct hire, full time position in Minneapolis, MN. This position requires a demonstrated experience in effectively setting up and improving these systems, strong data gathering and analysis skills, and a working familiarity with ERP systems and best practices. The Industrial Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that align with our operational goals.

EXPERIENCE

• BS Degree Industrial Engineering or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in a complex manufacturing environment
• Quality systems, root cause tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D), CAPA processes
• Process mapping, SOP development, and standard work implementation.
• Proficient with Excel, Power BI and Tableau (data analysis tools)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Navision/Business Central)
• Strong communication & leadership skills

• Lead efforts to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the business using lean methods and other improvement tools. Identify and implement solutions to drive operational excellence.
• Oversee systems for tracking quality issues and questions. Perform root cause analysis and develop effective corrective and preventive actions in a complex, custom manufacturing environment. Support teams in reducing project delays and promoting a culture of quality.
• Create and maintain training materials, work procedures, and competency tracking systems. Continuously improve documentation to ensure clear guidance and standards.
• Gather and analyze operational data to find trends and areas for improvement. Develop dashboards and metrics to track key performance indicators and support informed decision-making.
• Work with teams to optimize ERP workflows, including materials, routing, BOMs, and work orders. Support process mapping, training, and upgrades related to ERP systems.
• Review and improve manufacturing processes, layouts, and equipment use. Provide data-driven recommendations to support production planning and scaling in a custom, engineer-to-order environment.
• Partner with other departments, business units, and suppliers to ensure efficient processes and smooth project delivery from start to finish.
