The ideal candidate will apply business acumen and knowledge to partner with cross functional teams from production operations, engineering, quality, supplier management, materials management, and program management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a member of our Industrial Engineering organization, you will be responsible for supporting a production team or organization directly integrated with the Boeing Production System. Typical entry- and associate-level roles include analyzing performance to daily schedules or orders, learning and improving the production processes, reducing or eliminate safety and ergonomic issues, utilizing root cause and trend analysis to drive improvements to quality defects, and the reduction of non-value added work to improve cost and flow. Depending on the internal and external impacts to the team, you may be building disruption recovery plans using resource capacity and constraint analysis to get back to the baseline plan while working to mitigate impacts to the downstream work statement and major milestones.
Candidates will be directly engaged with our airplane products and will be collaborating with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a team player. Our IE teams are very busy focused on stabilizing the current production system while looking ahead at future rate changes and introduction of new derivatives and customers into our build plans.
Our business units provide you the opportunity to learn all aspects of the Aerospace Manufacturing environment and allow you to explore and learn the complete production system from supply chain production readiness, to fabrication of raw materials, assembly and installation, and supporting deliveries to our customers around the world.
The ideal candidate will have the unique opportunity to learn, stabilize, improve, and transform production systems and processes to achieve world class operational excellence for some of the world’s most sophisticated aircraft and systems.
