Description

The Engineering Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for “Distribution Project Manager”
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of distribution operations, experience with labor standards, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects while aligning with supply chain goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, quantify, and communicate improvement opportunities across the distribution network.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of process improvements and operational changes.
  • Develop, document, and maintain best practices to ensure standardization and consistency.
  • Act as a liaison between store support groups and Distribution Centers (DCs) to align performance and operational goals.
  • Provide functional support for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including labor management, slotting, and reporting tools.
  • Analyze, measure, and report on DC performance using established KPIs and metrics.
  • Build and maintain staffing and workforce planning models to support labor forecasting.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Distribution Center management teams based on performance data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in distribution or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in performance analysis, reporting, and interpreting KPIs.
  • Solid understanding of labor standards, WMS, and incentive programs.
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Charlotte, NC
  • Pay Range: $35 - $39 per hour
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months contract
