Position Overview: ID Logistics is seeking an Industrial Engineer who combines technical expertise with a passion for optimizing real-world warehouse operations. In this role, you’ll support our growing network of distribution centers by designing efficient layouts, implementing process improvements, and driving productivity through data-driven engineering solutions. Work Location: This will be an on-site role with a need to be within a commutable distance of Elwood, IL.  Work Schedule: First Shift On-Site, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Work Travel: Less than 10% domestic travel Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $105,000 - $110,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Salary is negotiable and determined by the candidate’s education, years of relevant experience, and alignment with both minimum and preferred qualifications. What You’ll Do: * Design & Process Optimization: Develop and refine distribution center layouts using AutoCAD and industrial engineering methods to maximize space, flow, and throughput. * Data-Driven Improvements: Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and workflow assessments to improve productivity and reduce waste. * Project Management: Lead capital improvement initiatives from concept through implementation, including vendor selection, ROI analysis, and implementation oversight. * Automation & Innovation: Identify and propose automated warehousing solutions (MHE, robotics, racking, and conveyor systems) to enhance efficiency. * Cost & Pricing Analysis: Create pricing models and ROI studies to support new business proposals and continuous improvement projects. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to deploy lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. * Safety & Quality: Uphold corporate and site-specific GMP, safety, and quality standards across all projects. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar is required * 3+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment is required * Proven ability to design and optimize facility layouts, material flow, and process improvements * Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software * Strong analytical skills with experience conducting time studies, workflow analysis, and productivity modeling * Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles * Working understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) * Excellent communication and project coordination skills Preferred Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or industrial operations engineering * Experience leading automation or capital improvement projects involving MHE, robotics, or racking systems * Proficiency in data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) * Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement training * Familiarity with quality and safety compliance standards (OSHA, GMP, ISO) * Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional operations teams to deliver measurable cost or efficiency gains
