Southwest Electric Co. is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer – Power Transformers to support the design, engineering, and technical execution of medium and large power transformer projects. The role operates independently at the Oklahoma City site while closely collaborating with colleagues across the global BU Power Transformers organization. Industrial Engineer Responsibilities: Analyze and improve production processes for power transformer manufacturing. Develop and optimize layouts, material flows, and work instructions. Perform time studies, capacity planning, and productivity analyses. Support industrialization of new transformer designs in collaboration with engineering. Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities. Coordinate with global BU PT teams to align on best practices and standards. Requirements Industrial Engineer Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, preferably in heavy electrical equipment. Strong analytical and process optimization skills. Experience with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies. Ability to work independently and drive improvement initiatives. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
