Description

SynQor seeks an Industrial and Systems Engineer who will be responsible for providing engineering support to high volume manufacturing processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering
  • 1-3 years relevant experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment used in the electronics manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of key industrial engineering principles: Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Process Capability, Waste Reduction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

As an Industrial Engineer at SynQor, your primary responsibility is to use your problem solving and analytical skills to ensure the manufacturing process is operating at maximum productivity levels. You will evaluate different assembly operations and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste, increase throughput, manage bottlenecks and increase equipment utilization. You will use your knowledge of our software and tracking system to develop tools and dashboards for the business to evaluate the success of the manufacturing process. You will integrate new equipment, tools, fixtures, and products into the manufacturing process and prepare the factory for high volume production. You will organize production areas and maintain floor plans and capacity simulation models to improve flow of material and product throughout the factory.

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes to obtain maximum productivity levels
  • Identify and implement cost reductions
  • Ensure maximum uptime of manufacturing equipment
  • Analyze and improve factory efficiency and equipment utilization
  • Recommend engineering design changes as needed
  • Develop and maintain capacity models
  • Data collection and analysis to drive continuous improvement and root cause corrective action
