Description
Lead Industrial Engineering–driven operations excellence across Apple’s APAC facilities and partners, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI), operational scalability, cost efficiency, and sustained execution excellence. This role combines technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and strategic influence to drive measurable operational improvements. DESCRIPTION -Lead the application of Industrial Engineering methodologies—including time & motion studies, facility layout optimization, simulation modeling, decision analysis, and quality engineering—to drive scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable operations excellence across Apple’s APAC facilities and partners. -Design, standardize, and govern repeatable IE frameworks that eliminate waste, optimize the integrated use of people, processes, systems, equipment, and space, and ensure long-term sustainability across existing operations and new site launches. -Drive operations excellence with 3PL and OEM partners by establishing methodologies for productivity improvement, process and systems integration, inventory accuracy, quality assurance, and continuous improvement programs. -Lead Operations execution for New Product Introduction (NPI), embedding IE principles into development builds and ramp activities to achieve schedule, cost, quality, availability, supply chain design, and order cycle time targets. -Partner cross-functionally across Asia and globally (WW Planning, Global Supply Management, TPM, Quality, SQE, Test, DFM, DC Operations) to influence Design-for-X (DFX), manufacturability, testability, and supply chain robustness. -Define, align, and benchmark core operational metrics (e.g., UPPH, activity profiling, space utilization, inventory accuracy) and translate insights into measurable cost, productivity, and scalability improvements. -Champion Operations Excellence through knowledge enablement, executive-ready communication, and targeted regional support for critical ramps and issue resolution. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, or related discipline, with 8+ years of relevant experience in high-tech, manufacturing, or supply chain operations. Expertise in Industrial Engineering methodologies, including time & motion studies, facility layout optimization, simulation modeling, decision analysis, and quality engineering. Experience leading or supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) operations and high-volume manufacturing, with exposure to design, process, cost, supply planning, and quality management. Knowledge of world-class supply chain and operations excellence practices, with a track record of delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous, and cross-functional environments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated leadership and influence in matrixed teams, driving solutions, resolving challenges, and taking ownership without direct authority. Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to translate data into actionable, scalable operational solutions. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, including executive-level presentations, with the ability to foster collaboration across cross-functional and regional teams.
