Description
Lead ergonomics improvement and problem solving through IE actions, lead workstation setup, and optimization Implement engineering changes that affect the workstation and allocations. Supervise/coach IEs with time study schedules (e.g., MODAPTS). Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety to settle job disputes and ergonomic issues Lead headcount cost savings projects Supervise monthly tracking of progress in VPOS Lead cycle line layout Supervise planning for mix and line speed changes Lead/manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meeting to ensure proper labor staffing and strategy Lead future model labor development (design, cycle line layouts, future model allocations) Serve as a resource for plant IE training/assistance Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through route cause analysis and drive change back to the production departments. Must have the necessary skill set to have job placement flexibility and the expectation to rotate to various positions within the plant, such as Production or Quality Must display strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System. Must demonstrate the ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities Must have a proven willingness to take a participatory approach to union relations and be a team player Must have the ability to serve as a strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary) Must have strong written and verbal communication skills As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
