Job Title: Industrial Facilities Maintenance Manager

The Industrial Assets Maintenance Manager role you’ve described centres on ensuring that all industrial process assets are maintained effectively to support the company’s production schedules. Here’s a summary and key points about the role, tasks, and skills required:

TYPICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Technical expertise in electronics, electromechanics, mechanics.
  • Proficient in TPM principles and implementation.
  • Skilled in data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Basic understanding of production and repair processes.
  • Familiarity with product manufacturing and repair.
  • Knowledge of industrial management control and monthly year business (MYB) processes.
  • Application of analytical and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., PDCA cycle).
  • Use of industrial IT tools and dashboards for analysis and decision support.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Acts as the “intelligent customer” to manage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities as a service.
  • Ensures availability and operational condition of production and integration equipment.
  • Aligns TPM standards and improvements with IAS performance objectives: Safety, Quality, Cost, Time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain machinery, tools, metrology in operational condition to guarantee performance of APRUs.
  • Guarantee availability rates and propose improvement plans.
  • Organize and track key performance indicators (KPIs) like MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), OEE/TRS (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Ensure process equipment safety.
  • Develop team competencies and professionalize skill sets.
  • Manage operating and support budgets effectively.
  • Oversee document management via databases such as PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), GMAO (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure preventive, corrective, and remedial maintenance actions are performed as per plan.
  • Participate in short interval management meetings focusing on process availability.
  • Provide responsive support to production (e.g., real-time Andon system responses).
  • Lead in identifying new investments, drafting specifications, proposing equipment upgrades.
  • Establish maintenance plans for industrial infrastructure.
