We are seeking an intermediate level Industrial Field Engineer with a solid background in industrial automation and control systems, to join our team in downtown Toronto.
This role will play a critical role in helping us design and build process control systems to modernize concrete curing systems at precast plants.

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE TASKED TO:

  • Program CodeSys PLCs using Structured Text, Python and Javascript
  • Create detailed mechanical and electrical layouts for panel enclosures and systems
  • Optimize designs for durability, safety, and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet customer requirements
  • Run simulations and system logic checks to validate designs before deployment
  • Provide hands-on support to the Production team to build and assemble electrical control panels
  • Travel frequently cross-border to the USA for installations and commissioning at customer sites*

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent post-secondary education
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience programming PLCs, Python, Javascript, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with control systems, sensors, and PLC integration
  • Proficiency with CAD tools i.e. SolidWorks, AutoCad Electrical or similar
  • Broad expertise with electrical panel design, UL standards, and enclosure best practices
  • Knowledge of industrial safety protocols and equipment certifications
  • Valid passport and driver’s license
    This role requires frequent travel to the United States to perform work. As such, all candidates must have a valid passport and be eligible to work in the United States and qualify for a TN visa under the USMCA agreement which includes citizens of Canada, the United States, or Mexico, and meet the relevant profession and education requirements. Any additional authorizations or documentation required for travel to the U.S. are the responsibility of the candidate. Proof of eligibility will be required at the time of offer.
