JOB DESCRIPTION

Kandrea Insulation & Scaffolding is looking to recruit ambitious Industrial Insulator Foremen/Women located at Long Lake.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Insulation Foreman/Woman oversees one or multiple crews working with hot and cold insulation material (e.g., calcium silicate, cellular glass, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on various types of Insulation scopes (e.g., ducting, piping, heat exchangers, tanks and vessels).
When working with a small crew, the Industrial Insulation Foreman/woman might be required to work on tools.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Industrial Insulation supervision
  • Journeyman insulator red seal ticket (equivalent proof of hours also accepted)
  • Proven ability to work with large manpower requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid Drivers License (with a clean Drivers Abstract)
  • Ability to maintain the following safety tickets: CSTS20, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, First Aid would be an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day direction to direct reports
  • Coordinates manpower to support daily operations
  • Assigns project tasks and goals to the team
  • Ensures materials are prepared and ready for crew to complete assigned tasks
  • Ensures all work is completed according to schedule as well as meeting OHSA, Kandrea and client safety requirements
  • Coordinates project releases with client
  • Maintains and enforces safe work practices
  • Submits safety and quality documentation to administration
  • Understands client priorities and assign manpower and resources as required
  • Manages project hours and progress tracking
  • Provides feedback and mentorship to team members
  • Works with the Branch Manager regarding employee performance management
  • Ensures quality control by repairing items not in compliance
  • Interprets isometric and process blueprints to complete on-site duties
  • Regularly communicates work progress, schedule variances, crew and safety performance to the site Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Communicates with other trades regarding progress and timelines
  • Safety is everyone’s responsibility and you are responsible to look out for yourself and those around you
