Sidenor Group is a leading steel producer in Southeastern Europe with 4 production units in Greece, Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia. As the Industrial IT Senior Engineer, you will report to the Infrastructure &Network Senior Manager and be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of industrial IT systems across our manufacturing and production environments. This role bridges the gap between IT and operational technology (OT), ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient integration of industrial systems with enterprise infrastructure. The role will be based in Thessaloniki or Volos and will require availability for business trips to all plants. What you will need to do: Design and provide consultation in industrial IT infrastructure (networks, servers, HMIs, SCADA, MES) along with Automation Departments Integrate OT systems with enterprise IT platforms (ERP, cloud services, data lakes) Support OT to ensure interoperability between PLCs, sensors, and control systems Support implementation of cybersecurity projects for industrial environments Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, corporate IT, Cyber Security etc.) and manage vendors and contractors for system upgrades and installations Provide Level 3 support for industrial IT systems Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues in production environments Support digital transformation initiatives in industrial operations What you need to possess: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field 5+ years of experience in industrial IT or OT environments Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networking Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and tools for OT What will lead you to success: Excellent communication and presentation skills (Greek &English) Must be able to work as a team player yet have the ability to work independently Experience working with large and complex matrix organizations Strong analytical skills and results-driven approach Strong stakeholder management skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage various projects/requests/issues What we will offer to you: A workplace with a strong focus on values of teamwork, integrity, and ownership Dynamic and friendly working environment Competitive remuneration and benefits package Continuous training and career development opportunities Private medical &health insurance plan Food vouchers Mental health and nutrition support line
