The Industrial Logistics Operator will support the Industrial Centre of Competence (ICC) and ensure contractual Commitments are met as well as Customer satisfaction. The Industrial Logistics Operator will be in charge of warehousing, handling, distribution and shipping of parts, components, materials and sub-assemblies. They ensure compliance with rules for computerised management of stocks and inventory to supply the Autonomous Production and/or Repair (APRUS) in the Rydalmere ICC.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Production and Repair processes
  • Basic knowledge of products and their manufacturing or repair processes
  • Knowledge of industrial management control and the Multi Year Budget (MYB) process
  • Knowledge of inventory management and flow management methodologies
  • Implementation of continuous improvement and management tools (Lean: flow management, conducting Gemba Walks, Compass Room, Plan, Do Check, Act (PDCA)
  • Knowledge of industrial/supply chain IT system & use of dashboards (analysis, decision support)
  • Routine use of ERP and understanding of the underlying logic
  • Act with agility, adjust behaviour in real time and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensure that supply chain and industrial issues are considered in production and/or product repair
  • Understand operational events to propose relevant areas for improvement and plan for the medium/long term
  • Forklift licence
Responsibilities

AS AN INDUSTRIAL LOGISTICS OPERATOR YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Perform warehouse acceptance and physical and logical incoming and outgoing operations, and formally record those operations in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Organise or manage inventories and analyse the causes of deviations
  • Provide for the internal distribution and transport of semi-finished products, finished products, subassemblies, components, consumables, tools
  • Manage the warehouse for finished products and spare parts for customer support (Inward and Outward transactions, inventories)
  • Process customer (internal and external) delivery routings consistent with contract requirements: delivery times, accompanying documents, including the import and export of inventory to ensure compliance with the applicable national and foreign export and re-export regulations, supervision of contractors (transport, customs transactions). Ensure that transport operations comply with applicable
  • laws and regulations
  • Manage the Logistics companies delivering and collecting from site
