INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

· Circa $140k + Super
· 12hr Day Shift
· Botany, NSW
We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join a well-regarded, leading maintenance and project services provider. You will be working in the maintenance department for an Australian icon in the food manufacturing industry. You will be joining the team at a Manufacturing Plant in Botany that specialises in producing a diverse range of ready-to-eat cereals. Your role will involve overseeing the electrical and instrumentation functions of the plant during the 12hr Day shift, following a 2on2off3on2off2on3off roster from 7 am to 7 pm. You will report to both the Shift Manager and Maintenance Manager, and collaborate closely with maintenance personnel, electricians, fitters, and various departments including processing, packaging, warehousing, quality, and project engineering. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES SOUGHT:

· Licenced Electrical Trade
· Significant industrial experience – Ideally in a food manufacturing environment
· Ability to work independently and direct support resources effectively
· Instrument trade experience is a must i.e. Allan Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, AC/DC
· Industrial Electronics and Control qualifications desired
· Agility and responsiveness to changing priorities
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels

Responsibilities

· First point of contact for all electrical issues on shift, responsible for organising and implementing all repairs.
· Required to direct and supervise contractor support resources.
· Responsible for maintaining the functionality of the plant from an electrical and instrumentation perspective to improve operability, reliability and equipment availability.
· Troubleshoot electrical problems and eliminate causes of machine downtime responding to breakdowns to minimise production disruption.
· Responsible for monitoring equipment efficiency, supporting Production Managers in handover meetings and assessing electrical priorities for each shift.
· Work with Engineering to identify and design equipment improvement modifications to reduce downtime and waste. Provide advice as an electrical expert on shift.
· Responsible for completing preventative maintenance activities as per schedule to improve plant reliability, and reporting results to Maintenance and Production management.
· Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including KWS processes, auditing quality of work against standards.
· Ensure all electrical work adheres to regulatory compliance requirements i.e. GMP, HACCP, EHS.
