In Industrial Maintenance Mechanical Specialist General Description Must have 5 years Industrial Mechanical maintenance experience or NCCER certified. NCCER certified preferred. Must pass pre-employment background and physical. - Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, hammers, welding equipment, micrometers and laser alignment tools. - Perform routine preventative maintenance such as checking and changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. - Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices. - Welds broken equipment, parts, pipe and structural steel. - Attach test instruments to equipment, and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions. - Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges. - Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors, valves, and piping that is associated with it. - Responsible for changing and installing new equipment such as pumps, gearboxes and valves. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties as required.
