Description
Overview Join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This position positively impacts our extrusion and compounding processes by maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe operating conditions. Responsibilities Determining the cause of equipment breakdowns; fixing the issues within scope of role. When necessary, escalating issues to the appropriate next level including ideas for resolving the problem. Responding to work orders and unplanned maintenance requests during shift. Regularly using hand tools, powered tools, electronic testing equipment or other means to repair breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, complete work orders and check equipment. Following scheduled preventive maintenance procedures and reporting any necessary repairs that fall outside of preventative maintenance. Maintain a safe and clean working environment Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Completing documentation related to closing work orders and equipment testing. Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license • Minimum 2 years of verifiable Industrial Maintenance work experience preferred. Experience in the following areas preferred: Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment including welding, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems Experience using computers for documentation Welding and machinist experience Mechanical aptitude including experience with industrial electronics, IE: 3 phase motors, motor control systems, AC and DC drives, PLC's, heater controls, HMI, etc. Ability to prioritize work as well as work well with others Ability to work with limited supervision Good verbal and written communication skills Environmental and physical requirements of this position include but aren’t limited to: Overtime Working at elevated heights Standing, walking and climbing stairs and ladders Regular crouching Ability to wear a partial respirator to protect against dust and fumes
Responsibilities
The technician will maintain and repair extrusion and compounding equipment to ensure safe operating conditions by determining the cause of breakdowns and responding to work orders during shifts. This includes regularly using various tools for repairs, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and completing necessary documentation.
