Description Springfield Plastics, Inc. is growing again! We are currently seeking an additional experienced INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to fill a full-time position in our manufacturing facility located in Auburn, Illinois. Primary Responsibilities: Installation, maintenance, and care for all production-related equipment. Setup of all production lines Troubleshooting, setup, and resolving machine problems Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and material handling equipment to ensure its safe operation Perform additional maintenance functions on the building, electrical and plumbing Maintain all machinery, change parts, spare parts, and hand tools used in each of the departments Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion Reporting and repairing any safety violations or problems Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Requirements Requirements Skill requirements for this position: 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred but will consider other maintenance experience Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment Welding certification, but will consider on the job experience Fabrication experience is a plus Electric certification, but will consider on the job experience Able to perform routine repairs on existing equipment Proficiency in use of hand tools and portable power tools Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to handle physical workload Additional requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Reliable transportation to and from Auburn, IL Work afternoon or overnight shifts when required Work overtime when required Work on-call when required Lift up to 50 pounds above head Stand for up to 12 consecutive hours Work in a team atmosphere while staying on task Complete repetitive motions with hands and arms for up to 12 consecutive hours Tolerate very high temperatures while working Keep up in a fast-paced environment Effectively communicate orally and in writing Highly organized in order to complete tasks under several deadlines Self-motivated Independent worker Benefits include: Starting pay range of $22 - $32 based upon skill set and experience No Layoffs Overtime opportunities Guaranteed 40-hour work week Weekly pay No premium cost employee health insurance Medical expense reimbursement Holiday pay Life insurance Sick leave Vacation Funeral Leave Profit Sharing 401K Dental Insurance Advancement opportunities Advanced training Performance based increase
