Description MISSION To repair, install, adjust, assemble, or maintain industrial equipment necessary for retread production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provide preventive maintenance on all machinery in the retread plant on required schedules Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary Adhere to lock out/tag out and all other OSHA-required maintenance rules Maintain standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of maintenance area. Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings — Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Plant Systems – hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, compressed air Welding – skill with all types of welding Cognitive KSA’s: Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Communication KSA’s: Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
