JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Positions are available on first, second, and third shifts. At Freeman, we foster a culture of safety and teamwork. The ideal applicant must have good communication and people skills, and experience in an industrial manufacturing environment dealing directly with mechanical systems – motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc. The candidate must possess a strong work ethic to pair with mechanical knowledge. Hourly rate will be commensurate with skills, experience, and potential.
Industrial Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our mechanical systems and ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. This position will fix, repair, replace, and build mechanical equipment, install new machinery, and contribute to preventive maintenance programs and preserving the life and reliability of the equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a variety of conditions.
  • Fluently read and speak English.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining as needed for repairs.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and safety checks, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to identify and address potential maintenance issues before they impact operations.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and the improvement of existing systems.
