Industrial Maintenance Technician (1st Shift) Princeton, NJ We're seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure our manufacturing facility runs like a well-oiled machine. This role demands expertise across multiple trades—electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry—and a strong focus on preventive maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency. If you thrive in dynamic environments and take pride in keeping complex systems running smoothly, you'll feel right at home here Your key responsibilities Adheres with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by clients. Leads and oversees the work performed by outside contractors, including remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and cleaning. Performs and supervises assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes and reviews maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews and assign's work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements. You bring High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training. Previous leadership experience preferred. Certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Requires intermediate analytical skills. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $32.00-36.50.
