The companies makes assembled metal products. Familiarity with mechanical designs and manufacturing is a must. Very generous salary and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401K. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Working with a safety-first approach, lead manufacturing projects, coordinating both internal and external resources to meet KPI’s. · Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing ideas that improve production costs, volumes, and quality. · Work on capital improvement projects, machinery improvement, plant layout. Work with vendors and contractors on equipment installations. · Lead manufacturing process development for new or improved products · Implement ideas for robotics and automation, where practical. Familiarity with PLC-based production systems is a plus. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelors' degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar is preferred but not required. · At least two years of experience developing manufacturing methods, procedures, processes in a production environment. Should have knowledge about safety practices, inspections. · In-depth knowledge of materials and mechanics, with application to production systems and tooling. Experience with welding is a plus. · Experience with continuous improvement, lean principles, and value stream mapping in a manufacturing environment. · Should have some experience with 3D CAD systems.
