Our client based in Mississauga, ON is seeking a full-time Millwright to join their dedicated team. Unionized environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ticketed Millwright, 433A Industrial Mechanic with experience in a manufacturing environment
• Positive attitude
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Numeracy to take accurate measurements using precision instruments
• Sound understanding of industrial drives
• Critical thinking to evaluate the condition of machines and their components
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work in hot and humid environment
• Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time

• Install new or rebuilt equipment as per work order
• Ensure all Maintenance ctivities are conducted in a safe manner
• Weld, cut and repair parts as per work order
• Dismantle, clean, re-install machine components
• Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments
• Perform predictive and operational procedures
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Machine start-up
• Actively participate with 6S and other Lean initiatives
• Practice proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices and procedures
• Prepare Hot Work Permits for operations involving open flame or producing a spark
• Communicate to supervisor status /or completion of work assignments
• Perform other duties, as assigned
• General housekeeping of work area
