                                                                                                                                                                                          COME SOAR WITH US VACANCY NOTICE We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of: industrial nurse (CONTRACT POSITION) JOB SUMMARY: The Industrial Nurse will report to the Head Nurse, Medical Unit. The incumbent will ensure efficient and effective medical coverage for all employees by providing efficient medical attention to ill or injured employees and passengers and for maintaining accurate and up-to-date reports on all injuries treated. The Industrial Nurse will also provide First Aid, CPR and AED training for employees' system-wide per local and international regulatory requirements. This is a fixed-term (contract) position. KEY DELIVERABLES: * Ensures the effective and efficient delivery of company-provided medical services to employees in keeping with the department's approved SLAs. * Attends to all accidents and illnesses that occur on the job and fills out the appropriate forms and cards related to same. * Serves as a First Responder and provides emergency medical care to employees, and where necessary passengers, at the location where the position resides. * Coordinates Case Management with the company's Chief Medical Officer and the Human Resources Department.  * Ensures full compliance with approved guidelines concerning employee medicals and fit for work certification. * Ensures that medical records are securely kept and accurately updated, as per regulatory and policy requirements. * Maintains Aircraft First Aid Kits in accordance with regulatory standards. * Provides direct nursing technical advice and support to employees as needed. * Analyzes health-monitoring data to develop needs-based health education programs. * In the event of an emergency, monitors and refers employees to CAL's medical officers and/or hospital and advises relatives in cases of severe illness or injury. * Conducts network-wide training as required. Maintains relevant certifications as required to conduct assigned training. * Maintains a high standard of cleanliness in the medical department by monitoring the condition of stretchers, instruments, sterilizers etc; * Supports the corporate Occupational Health initiatives as required and directed by HSE Manager.  * Assists in maintaining adequate clean laundry, serviceable oxygen cylinders, drugs for daily use, stationery, and other first-aid requisites PERSON SPECIFICATION:  You must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent Nursing Qualifications, with five (5) years of nursing experience, of which three (3) are in emergency room nursing, critical care, occupational health, urgent care or an ambulatory clinic. You must have valid registration with the Trinidad and Tobago Nursing Council.  You MUST have knowledge of Midwifery, health regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) experience in providing First Aid and CPR Training and conducting Health and Wellness workshops.
