Description

Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for a reliable, goal-driven, and positive Industrial Painter/Coater to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and applying high-quality finishes to fabricated components and structures.
Location: Innisfail, Alberta
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM with overtime opportunities based on production demands.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 (preferred); Level 2 is an asset.
  • SSPC Certifications: C7 (Abrasive Blasting) and C12 (Spray Application) are considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in industrial painting/coating.
  • Proven expertise in surface preparation, spraying techniques, and coating applications.
  • Strong understanding of industrial coatings, including epoxies, urethanes, and linings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and ensure proper application techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and workplace safety practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on high-quality finishes.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment/materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • A strong team player who can also work independently.
Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Perform sandblasting, cleaning, and abrasive techniques to ensure optimal adhesion.
  • Coating Applications: Apply a variety of industrial coatings, including:
  • Epoxies, urethanes, and internal linings
  • Chlorobutyl rubber and fiberglass coatings
  • Fireproofing (an asset)
  • Work on tanks and vessels ranging from 400 to 3,000 barrels.
  • Operate and maintain spray equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets company standards and third-party inspections.
  • Follow strict safety protocols to maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
