JOB DESCRIPTION

The Industrial Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, coatings, or finishes to a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, or structures using spray guns, rollers, or brushes. The ideal candidate has experience in surface preparation, knowledge of different types of coatings, and adheres strictly to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or blasting.
  • Apply primers, paints, epoxies, enamels, and other coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
  • Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve desired color or texture.
  • Interpret work orders, technical specifications, or blueprints.
  • Inspect surfaces and finished work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Operate and maintain spray painting equipment and tools.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Set up and use scaffolding, ladders, and lifts safely.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as an industrial painter in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of different painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, SDS sheets, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
