Job Title: Industrial Painter/Overhead Crane Operator Location: York, PA Shift: 1st Shift Job Type: Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00/Hour (Depending on Experience) General Description: We are looking for a Painter for our 1st shift at our facility in York, PA. While painting will make up only 20% of the role, the ideal candidate will be a switch hitter who is flexible and skilled in multiple areas of the shop. This position will require a variety of tasks including overhead crane operation, loading, rigging, reading a tape measure, and performing other production support duties. \n Key Responsibilities: Perform painting tasks, covering up to 20% of the role. Operate overhead cranes to move materials and assist with production processes. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage. Perform rigging duties for equipment and materials as required. Read and accurately measure using a tape measure to ensure precision in production. Conduct respiratory fit tests and maintain safety standards for handling materials. Support various departments by adapting to tasks outside of painting, ensuring smooth operations across the shop. Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment. Qualifications: Previous experience in painting, with an understanding of different painting techniques. Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment. Proficiency in rigging and loading/unloading materials. Experience with measuring tools, including a tape measure. Ability to pass a respiratory fit test. Strong ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Flexibility to handle different tasks as needed in a fast-paced shop setting. Knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n Subject to a pre-employment drug test and/or background check.
