Description
Position: Industrial Painter/Sandblaster/Loader Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Duration: Full time, Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $23.00 - $24.00/hr. \n Responsibilities: Prepped metal surfaces for painting by sandblasting to remove rust, scale, and old coatings, ensuring optimal adhesion of new finishes Mixed and applied industrial coatings including epoxy, urethane, and zinc-rich primers using airless, HVLP, and conventional spray equipment Interpreted and followed technical drawings, work orders, and safety data sheets to meet project specifications and coating thickness requirements Maintained and inspected painting and blasting equipment for proper operation and safety, performing minor repairs and adjustments as needed Worked in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions while adhering to strict safety and PPE protocols Recorded job progress, surface prep details, and paint application data for quality control and client documentation. Overhead crane operation Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred 2–3 years of experience in industrial painting and sandblasting Proficient in airless, HVLP, and conventional spray equipment Skilled in surface prep techniques including sandblasting and masking Knowledge of epoxy, urethane, and zinc-rich coatings Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and safety data sheets Familiar with coating thickness standards and measurement tools Strong understanding of PPE, confined space, and height safety protocols Experience with overhead crane operation Physically fit; able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in demanding environments Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime Detail-oriented with strong documentation and quality control skills Effective communicator and team player \n
