Description

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to join the team in our Poynette, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. In this role you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting and leading key process improvement projects and supporting future initiatives (such as adding automation within our manufacturing facilities).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the product flows through the facility in as fast as possible manner, without excessive costs
  • Coordinating and leading continuous improvement projects within multiple facilities elated to process, cost, production, and quality
  • Improving the production flow through utilization of labor incentives
  • Recommending and leading new projects, improvements, and product design changes applying your knowledge of lean manufacturing and engineering principles
  • Engaging and collaborating with New Product Introduction teams, Engineering Change Requests, and other relevant processes that directly impact manufacturing
  • Participating in prototype reviews and providing feedback to product engineers
  • Developing and updating FMEA’s & PFMEA’s
  • Researching, reviewing and improving ergonomics within operations to ensure a safe environment
  • Participating in long-range planning, including plant layout and equipment need
  • Investigating, justifying, and implementing special packaging projects including tooling and equipment setup
  • Preparing documentation and providing metrics, flow charts and diagrams as needed
  • Maintaining manufacturing information in our MRP system
  • Leading plant Productivity projects to improve cost structure (labor, material and overhead) through process and product improvements
  • Applying your knowledge of lean manufacturing and engineering principles which includes Kaizen events, Kanban, 5S, setup reduction, materials flow, and production layout

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of Process or Industrial Engineering concepts and principles focused on process efficiencies, quality control, and cost analysis
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a continuous improvement environment
  • Curious personality with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Initiative to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Values building relationships with others while acting as the subject matter specialist in your role
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
