· Advise managers and employees on Labour relations matters
· Maintain organized Labour consultative structures
· Facilitate internal dispute resolution measures, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
· To assist the team with the consistent and effective management of IR issues in line with the company policies and procedures and according to legislative requirements
· Maintain constructive relationships with trade unions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
· Represent the company in union engagements, including disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases, and bargaining councils.
· Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, and industry agreements
· Provide guidance on the interpretation of employment contracts and workplace policies.
· Prepare case files, gather evidence, and advocate on behalf of the company in CCMA hearings.
· Labour Law Compliance: Ensure the company is compliant with South African labour laws, advising on regulatory changes and potential impacts on their workforce.
· Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for management and staff on IR/ER topics, including labour law updates, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
Chairing disciplinary hearings and setting up the account of outcome.
