Description

Position Overview:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for expanding company’s market presence through both direct customer engagement and collaboration with indirect sales channels. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial applications, technical solutions selling, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the Castrol Industrial business across designated territories and industry sectors.
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities through direct sales efforts and by supporting channel partners.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing industrial customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to customers, matching Castrol solutions to specific operational needs.
  • Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, technical training, and troubleshooting support as required.
  • Work collaboratively with distribution partners to drive joint sales initiatives, support end-user engagement, and enhance channel capabilities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer operations, applications, and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities for Castrol products and services.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, reporting activities, opportunities, and forecasts through CRM and internal reporting tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical services, and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Represent the Castrol brand at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of technical sales experience, preferably within industrial lubricants, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate industrial applications and lubrication solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage a complex sales cycle.
  • Experience working with indirect sales channels (distributors, resellers, etc.) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel regularly within assigned territory.
