JOB DESCRIPTION

Dalco Services is a leading industrial coating contractor with business throughout Western Canada.
We are currently recruiting an accredited AMPP Basic Coating Inspector to support our sandblasting and coating shop operations in Red Deer, Alberta. This is a full-time position based primarily at our shop in Red Deer..

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Special focus on safety of themselves and others in their work area
  • Provide Quality Control inspection on shop projects
  • Understanding of surface preparation requirements for protective coating systems and application
  • Understanding of industry standards (SSPC, NACE, OH&S), and ability to perform
  • Able to troubleshoot and maintain blasting equipment.
  • Ability to follow complex instruction and attention to detail are required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Industrial abrasive blasting and coating experience required.
  • AMPP Basic Coating Inspector certificate required.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and operation of abrasive blasting and related equipment.
  • Willing to learn and take direction – Safety, Quality & Team Orientated.
  • Ability to work at our Red Deer shop daily (day shift).
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize project requirements and schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years abrasive blasting (sandblasting) or coating in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with quality control paperwork and inspection.
  • Punctual, engaged, good communication skills & fit for duty always.
  • AMPP certification required
  • Confined Space and CSTS required
