Furlong Steel Industries is looking for an experienced full-time Industrial Sandblaster.

• Operate and maintain sandblasting compressor and equipment to job specifications associated with sanding, substrate surface preparation, and abrasive blasting
• Properly protect and mask sandblasting and coating work areas
• General labour activities as required such as, but not limited to, hauling of material, tools, equipment, etc.
• Perform work in a safe & efficient manner
• Ability to identify hazards
• Report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
• Assist with other duties as required
  Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience industrial sandblasting
• Dependable
• Must be 18 years of age
• Familiar with sandblasting equipment
• Comfortable working in an environment with Silica
• Able to work with other equipment operators to load/un-load sandblast bay
• Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Able to communicate effectively
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
