Observe mechanical operations, listening for and observing problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose failures or issues and determine cause of the problem. Replace defective parts as needed. Adjust and correct improperly functioning parts, equipment, devices, and control instruments. Communicate and cooperate with company teams, affected employees, and contractors regarding projects, repair work, and preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance. Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels. Anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery including repairing, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts as required to reduce downtime and costs. Complete accurate and timely logs and reports. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Requirements Two to four years vocational training or equivalent experience and training in industrial manufacturing or distribution maintenance fields. Knowledge of electrical distribution and controls, electronics, instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and follow schematics and blueprints. HVAC, welding, instrumentation, PLC, and automation systems experience preferred. Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis and 100 pounds occasionally as well as stoop, bend and reach above the head regularly. Able to work various shifts and be on call during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
