As an Industrial Technologist, you will be responsible for process development & improvement, standardization, documentation, and estimating. This position will report directly to the Director of Engineering and collaborate with all levels of our organization. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: · Lead and participate in the completion of pre-production activities, including the development of standard production rates, production routings, and process flow charts · Develop and create work instructions and support production part approval · Become proficient with all Fabrication equipment to enhance and support production team · Work with engineering team to determine production schedules and program required parts for laser cutting operations · Interpret engineering blueprints and create flat pattern layouts for laser cutting · Optimize cutting paths and nesting to reduce material waste and improve machine efficiency · Develop and maintain time standard tables for cycle times and cost to manufacture of products. · Assist operations and design engineering in the identification and understanding of events affecting productivity, utilization of labor or equipment · Lead integration of new processes and equipment · Create, maintain, and enforce a safe and efficient work environment · Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task · Develop understanding of production floor and material flow · Effective written and verbal communication skills · Navigate software to document, analyze, and optimize process improvements Education/Experience: · Degree in mechanical, agricultural or industrial engineering preferred · 3+ years manufacturing or industrial engineering experience preferred · Experience in laser cutting, CNC programming, or sheet metal fabrication · Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) for programming · Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and flat pattern development · Experience with fiber laser cutting machines, preferred · Experience with manufacturing quality systems · Experience maintaining BOM routings in an ERP system such as Epicor Performance Expectations: The physical requirements described here are representative of an employee able to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
