JOB OVERVIEW

The industrial engineer will focus on eliminating waste, reducing costs, and increasing productivity while maintaining quality standards.

SKILLS

  • A degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrialization, manufacturing, or operations within a relevant industry.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management. Familiarity with PLM and ERP tools.
  • Strong analytical skills,
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, prototype line operations, and electrification technology innovations.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage production milestones, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Capability to analyze builds, summarize results, and optimize supplier production processes.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Define an industrial strategy to reach production targets (make or buy, test strategies, production flow, etc.).
  • Certification Work: Manage certification work for manufacturing plants and ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Process Development: Evaluate potential improvements and efficiency initiatives, implement and update processes globally, and ensure project goals and deliverables are achieved according to plan.
  • Project Management: Manage global and cross-functional operations projects, including feasibility studies, new investments, and overall operations development initiatives.
  • Launch Plan Development: Develop launch plans including key production milestones (line/prototype trials).
  • Manufacturing Engineering: Ensure design for manufacturing and for tests in co-engineering with development teams. Ensure that all industrial requirements are integrated during product specification and project development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues during builds and support projects during execution phase.
  • Prototype Line Management: Support prototype lines, conduct trials and experiments, and ensure adherence to applicable processes for product introductions.
  • Strategic Planning: Analyze strategic and operational factors in industrialization planning, including feasibility studies and overall manufacturing strategy.
