Job Description

Tasks – What to expect from us:

  • Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance.
  • Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance
  • Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department as required.
  • Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics
  • Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures. Research and implement improvements.
  • Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and restore equipment performance to standard.
  • Consistently perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high performance standard.
  • Utilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience.
  • Safely operate site specific equipment as required with appropriate training
  • Understanding of safe lifting practices and procedures

Qualifications – Who we are looking for:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant time served apprenticeship
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles and operation
  • Basic IT literacy
  • Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations
  • Basic use of machine tools
